No. I wouldn’t bring a bunch of kids into a biker bar and sing a G-rated song to them. That sounds like a complete waste of my time.
The YouTube video should have had a disclaimer at the beginning, “No children were harmed during the making of this video.” ![]()
Unbelievable!
Did you see that? The way he totally faceplanted that kid?Clearly the editor of this movie is guilty of violence against children, and should be locked up. Not to mention Ewan McGregor.
That prosecutor deserves to be crucified – and I mean that literally. Some people are just too stupid to be allowed to live.
This is a reasonable take.
If Kevin Smith or Sarah Silverman do this in a scripted way, they’re OK. This guy’s distinguishing offense, I would suppose, is in exploiting video collected under false pretenses, not in putting offensive language with schoolkids for laughs. But I’m not convinced that’s criminal, even if it is civilly actionable.
Then again, maybe I’m wrong, and Sarah Silverman (who’s done this sort of thing herself) needs to stay away from Michigan.
Some of the parents were total fucking morons too.
I wonder if any of the parents came to his defense. If my kid was in that class (not that I have a kid, but I do have nieces) I would’ve volunteered to testify on his behalf at the sentencing.
Why? It’s not like everyone in Michigan voted on this verdict. I think it’s ridiculous that he was charged with any crime at all and any parents mad he used their kids image without permission should’ve had to take it up in civil court. Oh welp some other assholes fucked up, guess I need to feel ashamed.
If everyone in Michigan should be ashamed of themselves over this, then everyone in California should be flogged 3 times a day because they’ve had many much more ridiculous court outcomes than this one.
He’s going to jail for 60 days then be on probation for two years. How does that add up to losing two years of his life?
It sucks that he is going to jail for 60 days. He should never have been charged as he was.
However, the hyperbole that his life is over neglects his view which is remarkably measured. You should watch the interview. He admits he was thoughtless, and was very much aware that the charges were bogus, but made a calculated decision to accept the plea bargain as a way of ending this without going to prison.
