The way I parsed the thread title, I thought the pron shown to the mother was OF the deceased. Somehow, that made slightly more sense.

I’m curious about the burglary charge. The idiot did enter the family’s home but it was during a memorial service when other people were there. There’s no indication is was an invitation-only service.

He gained entry to the home under false pretenses (the assumption that he was a mourner). It’d be like if someone stopped by in a fake Qwest uniform claiming the need to check on something. Sure he’s granted access, but he wouldn’t have been if he had said “Oh, I’m here to steal your heirloom China” or whatever.
And I don’t think you have to steal anything to be a burglar, either. I think the definition just says there has to be intent to commit a felony.
