I don’t particularly care one way or the other about most of these threads, because once you read the OP, you’ve read pretty much everything the thread has to offer. But thanks to lissener’s initative, there’s actually something interesting going on in here. It’s a shorthand way of denoting action. The “/” is used in MUDs (text-based RPGs) to make your character do something (/inventory = brings up your inventory, etc.)
