Manhattan Prosecutors file criminal charges for Trump re Stormy Daniels case - ongoing discussion here (Guilty on all 34 counts, May 30, 2024)

“Donald Trump (D) Found Guilty” :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m worried now that the gag order is no longer in place.

“There’s a sale at Macy’s!”

Why? It hasn’t been lifted, and the process isn’t over yet.

In this case it’s still a scorigami.

If he gets prison time, does that stick even if appeals are ongoing?

I’m happy not to get the scorigami.

The dope seems to be creaking due to this thread. Someone feed the hamsters!

He seems to be less orange today. Does he not have time to apply his bronzer before court?

For that matter, how is MAGA World taking this? Are protests erupting anywhere?

Will he be limited in his travels and other things between now and July 11th?

I’m sorry, I read somewhere that it’s void now that the trial is over.

Fox headline 2 hours ago:

Would a normal defendant be able to leave New York pending sentencing?

My wife went to Fox News because we were curious. They were saying they hope that there will finally be some “fairness” when he goes to appeals and gets this fixed.

They’re acting like you’re not really convicted until the appeals are over. Expect to hear that spin for some time.

Talking head on NBC thinks incarceration is unlikely, due to it behind a class e felony, his age and no other convictions.

I’m listening to a law professor talk about a normal appeal being one year to 18 months. Hopefully they can speed that up a bit.

For what is basically rich white collar crime? Seems likely. For you and me and the rest of the stiffs? Heh, yeah right.

I didn’t know CNN had going-to-war typeface available on its website.

That interview should be a doozy.

More recent Fox headline:

Apparently so. I haven’t seen a headline that big since the start of Gulf War I and the Apollo 11 astronauts landing on the Moon.
