I used a micro-mist fake tan spray on my legs cuz they never seem to tan like the rest of my body (also, I haven’t been getting sun on the backside of my body because I can’t tolerate face down position, since the hip surgery). The color is great but very uneven. I mean, really uneven as in that disease that Michael Jackson claims to have so that he can bleach himself white). What can I scrub this stuff off with and not lose too many layers of skin? God help anyone who uses this stuff on their face, I can’t imagine getting anything close to a natural look.
Gah. It’s always shorts season here in Palm Springs, and I really hate to think that I have to cover up with long pants. How many days until I’m normal? (you’ll never see a set-up like that from me again, so jump right in and take your best shot).
Don’t worry. The Appaloosa look is coming back! Wear little lacy ankle cuffs, so it looks like you’re wearing leggings.
Exfoliate with a nice sugar/salt scrub, shave, etc. It’ll come off in a few days.
If you want to try the fake tan thing again, I suggest the Neutrogena foam stuff (it is what I use). It has a nice bronzer that shows you exactly where the color is going. And when I have a naturally uneven tan line, I put two coats on the white part and one coat on the tan part- this seems to even things out a bit.
I second the Neutrogena Foam for future attempts.
And for tons of help with a sunless tan.

Did you prepare your skin before you put it on? I would also suggest getting stuff with a bronzer in it so you can see where you’ve put it already.
Some advice: shave your legs the night before you put the tanning stuff on; the the next day use an exfoliator scrub and get every part of your legs (or arms, or whatever); put on a LIGHT moisturizer around your ankles, knees, feet, toes, and any other rough spot; then put on the tanning junk. It’ll come out better that way, more even and natural.
