Wow, the round pupils are stunning!
Not ugly or beautiful to me, just different. Their very rounded, muscled shoulders make me think of a primate or a badger or raccoon. The round pupils are interesting. I would love to be able to interact with one.
Yes, they DO look like owlcats. And picture #3 on the Zooborns page is a great example of cataloons (a cat in a pose that makes it look like it’s wearing pantaloons).

The hair around the head looks like a miniature lion’s mane. Lions also have round pupils, like this cat and unlike the slit pupils in our domesticated cats.
They are both squeelicious =) I would get into a breeding program for either one once hubby retires. Everybody seems to want to work with the big sexah kittehs like tigers and such, but I like the little guys.
What’s the go with that one looking through a hole in the fence?
BTW, I could not think of a worse animal to keep than a koala.
They stare with a great intensity, ferociousness and a slight bit of disappointment. I’d love to get one, but they are about as well tempered as a zebra, so that’s not gonna happen.
The round pupils give them a crerpy beady eyed glare. I feel like I’m looking at Wilford Brimley in cat form.
