Now that I’m out (mf’rs) I did some checking and discovered that February 3rd will mark the one-year anniversary of our mad little experiment. Some sort of festival will no doubt be in order. Any ideas?
We should try to schedule a mondo blow-out gigantic tournament. $10 buy-in, rich boys???

Well it was fun everyone. I was pretty dang lucky the whole night, winning on the river more than I could have ever expected. Last time I was that lucky I made it to a final table in a big PP tournament.
The Queen was the lucky card for me all night. Had QQ four times and won the final hand with quad queens. I was down to 2000 chips with three of us left and won, which is pretty amazing. I think I won something like 6 of the last 8 hands, which were all really crazy ones.
Well, I learned once again that I can’t win at poker but I can win at blackjack and other table games. I went from 30 bucks to 430 bucks, for a total win of 400 bucks tonight.
Dang, you people make me feel like the red-headed step-child of the SDMB poker crew. I’m lucky if I can get up $10 on any night of playing.
I’m pretty sure you were the red-headed step-child when you were using that old computer. Did you get a nice upgrade?
Relatively speaking. I went from a Pentium II 233MHz to a Pentium III 800Mhz for $100. Worth it to me to keep marching with the other penguins.
My head is red no longer. I pillaged the $.01/.02 NL tables at PokerStars for about $35 in one session. However, until I move up in class, I guess I will remain the step-child of the crew.
Now I’m off to study those hand histories and see what I was doing right…
Well, I’m still playing the .25/.50 tables at Pokertropolis, and my best night is about $12. My plan is to get good at that (I’m close) and know what I’m doing, then try higher stakes.
Thursday bump. Tournament’s not up yet, but we got plenty of time. Let the sleeping dog lie for now.
