March R.E.M. Madness (Round 3 - The Final 16) [Closed]

Part 3 of this thread (rules are available there).

So, I cheated a bit this round: we had 2 ties (Feeling Gravitys Pull vs. Driver 8 and Try Not To Breathe vs. Man On The Moon), so, instead of flipping a coin on the first one, I decided to leave both songs in and eliminate All The Way To Reno and Leaving new York (Reno would have won). I highly doubt this will upset anyone, as there’s not a chance in hell of either making it past the next round anyway, and I only included them for completeness in the first place.

Try Not To Breathe won the coin toss over Man On The Moon, which bums me out a little, even though I prefer Try not To Breathe, just because now that The Great Beyond’s out there are no Andy Kaufman songs left.

Anyway, here’s Round 3, mixed up a bit (not going strictly chronologically anymore):

A
Radio Free Europe VS. Superman
Pilgrimage VS. Daysleeper

B
(Don’t Go Back To) Rockville VS. Half A World Away
Feeling Gravitys Pull VS. Bad Day

C
Driver 8 VS. Try Not To Breathe
Fall On Me VS. Electrolite

D
It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) VS. Nightswimming
Orange Crush VS. What’s The Frequnecy, Kenneth?

A
Superman
Pilgrimage

B
Half A World Away
Feeling Gravitys Pull

C

Bah… the number of people who are unwilling to admit that Nightswimming is the greatest song of all time shocks and saddens me.

And me as well. In fact, I was almost going to predict in the last thread that I thought it would win. After all these years, I still don’t have my finger on the pulse of the people.
