Marilyn Monroe or Bettie Page: who puts more va-va in your voom?

Two sexy sirens from the '50s enter, one sexy siren from the '50s leaves.

On the one hand: wildly popular iconic sexpot Marilyn Monroe – blonde, breathy, voluptuous, president-seducing, possibly suicidal, Playboy centerfold, better actress than she’s given credit for.

On the other hand: subversively popular iconic sexpot Bettie Page – brunette, pin-up, curvaceous, bondage model, Playboy centerfold, apparently not a good actress at all.

The question: who do you find sexier?

Me, I’m pro-Bettie. Frankly, I’ve never found Marilyn all that sexy – Grace Kelly’s my favorite blonde '50s icon. And I don’t find vulnerability as sexy as confidence, and Marilyn tended to project the former while Bettie projected the latter.

Also, I tend to find brunettes sexier than blondes, all else being equal.

I usually prefer brunettes but I have to go with Marilyn Monroe for this one. I think she is prettier, sexier, and I like crazy chicks.

Marilyn and I think she comes off as a parody now, but back then- she was the original (of course, this is just a hypothesis as I was really, really, really not born yet-- either was my mom, actually).

Bettie all the way. I rather dislike that “vulnerable” Marilyn vibe, for some reason, though she was quite sexy.

Marilyn I know of no motion pictures of Bettie, and there is something about the way Marilyn moved.

I wasn’t planning on contributing to this particular thread, but since I see the votes are fairly even so far, I have to cast an enthusiastic vote for Bettie. Marilyn does nothing for me, and Bettie…yeah.

Speaking of Bettie Page, are you folks familiar with Dita Von Teese? And how do you think she compares to the original?

Dita loses points for being the next Mrs. Brian Warner- even as Rose McG, hot as she is, will always be so tainted to me…

like Rose is going to lose sleep over that!

I’m a Bettie Page fanboy. She is the ultimate fantasy fetish female, and I adore her (and every other girl with raven hair in “Bettie bangs.”) Dita is gorgeous and largely responsible for helping repopularize Bettie Page and burlesque, but she’s still too skinny for me. I prefer her fellow dangerous-looking brunette fetish models Masuimi Max, Persephone, and Morrigan Hel (all “gothier” than Dita, but owing much to Bettie). No, as awesome as Marilyn is, Bettie is my girl, and I worship her and her delicious disciple divas.

Neither one, really. I prefer women who aren’t so well… endowed. Yeah, I likes 'em small.

But if these two were the only choices, I’d choose Betty. Dark hair.

I know with me that’s what it is. Confident women=hot, in my book. In addition, I find brunettes very sexy while blonde women have never done much for me.

I’m a Bettie fan, besides that a friend of mine looks like her. Marilyn is just so damn boring in comparison.
