Seconded. Female Marines bring civilian dates all the time, as do male Marines. Dates range from spouses to boy/girlfriends to siblings to parents to children. At the ball I attended this weekend, there were at least 8-10 folks who brought their kids, and countless civilians.
Honestly, given Justin’s track record (this is the guy that deflowered Brittany Spears, exposed Janet Jackson on live tv, dated Jessica Biel, and has likely bedded Mila Kunis), the fact that he’s always been vocal about his support of the military, and the fact that he really got this whole thing rolling by ‘pushing’ Mila into accepting Sgt Moore’s invite, I’d think the Marines would be quite welcoming of him.

Overall I think this had been very good pr for the Marines. The press has not been over whelming and didn’t interfere with the event at all.
