Jam Shady, saying “I have different sources” is not the same as saying what those sources are. I don’t intend to disprove anything, I was just curious where your beliefs come from.
Six times now.
I wish I could say the same to you, but when you are dead you won’t be able to realize you’re wrong.
LurkMeister, here is the link to the thread on speech to text engines. Cerowyn’s post is of particular interest.

Revtim - As with every aethist I’ve met, you conveniently miss out the part where I mentioned it. I have various different sources, including religious texts, speakers, and from what I conclude using my own perception and judgement.

IOW, he’s talking out of his ass.
LurkMeister, I am truly sorry for all your wife has had to bear. It certainly does seem that she has had to deal with far more than her fair share.
On the plus side of the equation, though, she has someone who loves her enough to stand by her side, and curse the unfairness of the universe on her behalf. Perhaps not a full compensation, but a gift that not all of us are lucky enough to receive.
I don’t know about your state, by mine (NC) operates a state library for the blind. When my mother went blind (approximately 20 years ago, due to macular degeneration), she registered with them. They sent her special tape player, and she could borrow tapes of books from the library. These were not the standard cassette tapes you can buy in stores. The tapes were mailed out to her, with return mailers enclosed. All of this was done free of charge.
They had an excellent selection of all genres of books. My mother really got a lot of enjoyment out of these. She found that she could “read” quite a few more books than she was able to when she was still sighted — she would carry the tape player outside with her to listen to while she worked in the garden, listen to it while she washed dishes, etc.
No, it’s no adequate compensation for losing one’s sight. If it’s available in your area, though, I would highly recommend it.
Well, my wife was released from the hospital yesterday. She’s being scheduled for four weeks of outpatient therapy, plus follow-up appointments with her regular doctor and the neurologist. As we expected, they adjusted her medications, including adding something for the Parkinson’s.
One good thing about this; while she was in the hospital her medication and meals were under closer supervision than they are at home, and the resulting improvement in her general health was noticeable enough to her that I think she’s going to be more diligent about eating regularly and taking her medicine on schedule. We’re also going to be looking into getting her signed up for the hospital’s health club, which will have the dual benefit of getting her more exercise and letting her get out of the house more often. We might even sign up for the family plan, which will let me go in and get some well-needed exercise.
We also managed to make it to the theater last night to see The Fantasticks, which cheered her up immensely.
Again, thanks to all from both of us for your good wishes, prayers, and suggestions.
Glad to hear your wife is out of the hospital finally. At least you have an idea what is up and are able to cope a bit more. Hopefully everything will continue to go well.
I wish you both good luck.
If I ever meet you I will KICK YOUR ASS!

What is goatse.cx anyway? The link is dead on my browser?
Dammit. That would be, “The link is dead on my browser**.**”
Robert, goatse.cx is a picture of a guy stretching his butthole out a full five inches. I’ll let someone else provide the link.
