Both for the basically the same type of conduct, both could have been treated more formally than what amounts to a “knock it off” instruction. If I were to fault Marley for anything, it would be for being too tolerant of your repeated incivility. I think you deserve a formal warning, as you have a history of this type of behavior.

I’ve given the mods grief in the past, so I’ll just chime in to say that I agree with everyone who’s posted to this thread but the OP.
All in all he got off light. He’s had at least one Final Warning for anti-Semitic comments, IIRC. Or perhaps it was for trolling Jews, I’m not positive on the context. Even then, he’s adopted a new tactic in GD of saying that the Jews are sub-human in some respect or another,but then claiming that it’s not his idea, why, it’s other people’s. After all, if they were thought of as fully-human adults, then everybody would agree with Sev that the they should be murdered. But the fact that they disagree with him shows that it’s them, not him, who thinks that they’re sub-humans who can’t be held responsible for their behavior because, well, they’re Jews and what can we expect from them?
Bonus points, of course, for his repeated refrain (this time without the phrase “evil cult”) where he states that Jews are actually required to support Israel and/or fantasizes about an end to Judaism. This time, he somehow morphs 9/11 into an attempt to advertise the hidden evils of Judaism.
This, by the way, from the fellow who has in the past opined that wishing for the elimination of Judaism by fire, down to the very last torah, is perfectly understandable.

The note you got from me was about a post that was solely about Airman Doors, USAF. You didn’t mention Jews or Israel in that post (although the thread is about Israel, obviously). I did not think DSeid’s post required a response from me, and unlike you, he did address the topic instead of just insulting someone.
As far as tomndebb’s admonition goes, I would have said the same thing he did. Sevastopol, your last couple of posts in that thread are very similar to the posts that led to your recent suspension. If you continue posting like that, you’re almost certain to get banned.
Not to quibble, but as Sevastopol has stated that the Jews/Israel control the US’s foreign policy and that Jews in America who support Israel do so because their “evil cult” demands it, and they don’t even believe what they say but that there is a contest among them to deliberately say outrageously false things simply in order to show their allegiance to their “evil cult”…
After all, that’s essentially what he was accusing Doors of, parroting talking points that he didn’t believe in but had to show allegiance to. That’s the whole ‘no integrity’, ‘showing support’ bit.
With that in mind, it should be clear as to why he feels that you were trying to shut down his criticism of Israel/Jews and why there needs to be a special sticky about such a policy.
I stated that Israel has long had a “land for peace” policy and that I believed they would do the same for the Palestinians should they choose to actually, you know, agree to peace. There’s nothing to defend, nothing else to say. It was over.
