One of my coworkers lives with her boyfriend; she likes referring to him as “my partner” with no gender explicited for the first few days of being in a new job, as one of her personality tests for the new coworkers. Do people find that reference scandalous, assume she’s a lesbian, ask, none of the above? Whatever they do, it tells her a lot about their attitudes.
Just thought I’d share some pics of the most recent lesbian wedding I went to (in London). The ceremony and party took place on separate days - hence the outfit change. You’ll see in one (with one party wearing red) that they are signing the marriage register with their mothers as witnesses. In another, they are making speeches - together.
You can see that there isn’t a wedding dress or tux in sight.
