In my minds eye they were about a 18 -24 inches long or so and maybe 60-80 lbs.

The rovers, each about the size of a riding lawn mower, weigh 380 pounds on Earth, but 140 pounds in lesser Martian gravity. While they have shown a remarkable ability to keep moving, they are hardly speedy. Opportunity has traveled a total of about six miles on Mars and Spirit about four miles.

That was the Sojourner rover back in 97:

Sojourner was a six-wheeled vehicle and it was 65 cm long, 48 cm wide, 30 cm tall and weighed 10.6 kg. It could move about 500 metres from the lander and its maximum speed reached one centimeter per second.
