And are covered with blood? 45% of your face alone? And the blood runs from the back your head to your ears. really? Somebody needs to change razors.
And the picture(s) from the police will show 2 cuts and a lot of abrasions as will the doctor’s testimony along with a broken nose and black eyes.
The doctor didn’t examine him until a day later.
One cut.
Picture, 2 cuts, lots of abrasions.
EMT report.
One cut.
picture taken by the police, 2 cuts, lots of abrasions unless you want to suggest the police doctored the photos. they will be called to testify also. And they will count 2.
Picture. Subjective interpretation.
EMT report. Objective contemporaneous examination.
One cut.
there’s nothing subjective about a picture showing separate wounds. They’re clear and sharp. If the prosecution is stupid enough to challenge the doctor’s report then the EMT’s and police will be called to testify the accuracy of the picture along with the doctor. “Doctor”, does this picture accurately show what you saw the following day. Yes".
The EMT will testify there was one cut when Zimmerman was examined immediately after the crime.
The doctor will testify there were 2 cuts when he examined Zimmerman the next day.
I will let the jury draw their own conclusions.
One cut.
Since several people in this thread have said that Zimmerman didn’t have enough damage to have a reasonable fear of death or serious bodily harm, I think they should outline what level of damage they would consider necessary for reasonable fear.
they will all testify to the accuracy of the police photo. And I agree the jury will indeed draw their own conclusions.
How do you know what their testimony will be?
either that’s a picture of Zimmerman taken by the police or it’s not.
The defense will ask the police if that is the picture they took. It will be a yes or no question. The doctor (a real doctor) will testify that it represents the wounds he or she treated. The jury will see the picture blown up to show all the detail. Even a crappy 6 mp camera at that distance will show tremendous detail.
Since we are predicting the future:
The doctor will say the photo is consistent with his examination.
The EMT will say the photo is consistent with his examination.
Subjective conclusions.
One cut.

EMT Testimony-
Prosecutor: Mr. EMT, in your opinon, were the injuries sustained by Mr. Zimmerman life threatening?
EMT: No
Doctors Testimony-
Prosecutor: Dr. Doctor, in your expert professional opinion were the injuries sustained by Mr. Zimmerman life threatening?
Dr. Doctor: No
I don’t think the picture is going to help the defense very much when every medical professional who examined Zimmerman will testify that his injuries were minor at best. Most jurors are going to place higher value on the opinion of a Doctor than their own untrained interpretation of the extent of injuries from a photograph.
Prosecutor takes mellon or bowling ball and bangs it on table repeatedly. Shows picture of bloody Zimmerman with doctor’s report of black eyes and broken nose.
Tell me, when was Martin planning to stop?
So actually, how much more damage would you have taken before you were worried about serious bodily harm? Keep in mind that you can’t make a decision after you are unconscious.
If you are a pacifist and are willing to let someone beat you to death, then that is a legitimate choice, but Florida law really isn’t designed with you in mind.
I don’t believe Zimmerman’s account. The EMT report is not consistent with his story, so we are left to speculate about what really happened.
I believe Zimmerman stalked and committed an assault on Martin, who responded by punching Zimmerman in the nose, who fell backwards and hit his head, inflicting a single cut on the back of his head. Zimmerman pulled his gun, and Martin jumped on top of him, trying to get control of the gun in self defense. Zimmerman then shot Martin.
Can I prove any of that? No.
But, unlike Zimmerman’s story, it is consistent with the evidence.
