After reading the last New Avengers, I was just left wondering…how big, and/or reputable is the New York Daily Bugle supposed to be? I mean, is it more analogous to the New York Times or the Chicago Reader—or the National Enquirer?
The 1981 Spider-Man annual said its circulation was five million, for what it’s worth.
I thought it was suppposed to be the equivalent of the New York Post.
Probably not at first – it’s clearly based on the Daily News or the Daily Mirror of the time.
The Post back in the 60s was not sensationalist at all, and was politically to the left.
