I like Avon’s Astonishing Length or Curl-ascious. They don’t create that crunchy lash thing. I hate crunchy lashes.
Its best if you let them soak in milk first.
Another vote for Lancome Definicils. It’s the only mascara I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot) that makes me look like I have any lashes at all! Yes, it’s pricey, but I try to wait til The Bon Ton has its Lancome giveaways. This way, I get 2 tubes of mascara (for about $40.00) plus lots of other top-notch makeup goodies that I would never pay hard-earned cash for. If I want to justify the expense, I just think, 6 months of mascara for $40.00 breaks down to less than $2.00/wk. I spend more on Cappuccino, for heaven’s sake! ain’t it great how you can justify just about anything if you try?
Ooh, now I need to lust over Lancome mascara. I have a few Lancome cosmetics, and they’re all divine, but out of my price range to use the full line.
I have heard to toss mascara after three months, which is why I don’t generally buy the expensive stuff. The first reason I heard was that it just gets dry and clumpy. I did hear later about the bacteria, though. It makes me wonder why mascara tubes are so big. The sample sizes are more ideal since it always goes bad before you run out, anyway.
I definitely have to agree with the Avon Curl-acious Mascaras. I swear by them (not only because I am an Avon Sales Dealer).
And maybe plenty of men on the board have lots to say about mascara…even if not goth or drag, they might have noticed if their gf/wife/so/partner/what-have-you has ever had crunchy eyelashes, or might know what they use and be able to suggest that
