Can’t be Synthesis because Liara isn’t green, and probably wasn’t refuse because Liara is…well…alive. Given that she apparently walks on a dead Reaper I’m guessing it’s destroy
@Mahaloth, did you let Garrus beat you in the sniping contest on top of the Citadel catwalk in ME3?
No, why?
Thanks!
Idk if one of his videos has been linked here which is how I found him, or if I found him just through Youtube recommendations, but there’s a guy named “Big Dan” who has A TON of “what if…” Mass Effect videos. They are amazing things like “What if You Don’t Accept Anyone into your Party in ME1” or “What are all the Outcomes of Your Virmire Survivor’s Standoff in ME3”. I’ve loved watching these because there are a bunch of things that I’ve never seen before because I’m too much of a fuddy-duddy to do renegade things
If you ignore Garrus in the first game and never meet him or talk to him, does he join your crew in the second game anyway?
Yes, and Shepard recognizes him too. I don’t think you can play the first game without ever talking to him, so you’re at least aware of his presence. But you can refuse him in your ME1 game. The meeting in 2 is less “omg Garrus! my friend!” and more “Hey look who it is! what’s up”
Very cool. He has a bunch of “What If” Fallout 4 videos that are fun as well, like “what if you kill Father before he says a single word to you” and how that plays out with everyone and so forth. I’ll admit, I never did that in Fallout 4 and it is interesting.
I always do. I’m his commanding officer, and I want him feeling confident and good about himself before the final mission - after all, sniping is his “thing”.
I always thought his thing was screaming ONE LESS TO WORRY ABOUT!
Or calibrating the ship’s guns. Or saying “Just like old times”.
From BroShep and Tali’s romance in the Citadel DLC: Shepard and Tali watch a movie together and Tali sings a romantic song.
From FemShep and Garrus’s romance in the Citadel DLC: Shepard and Garrus go on their “first date” and dance the tango.
Wow…I’ve played through this game several times and I never knew about that tango.
Kewl.
Speaking of “multiple plays and still finding new stuff,” here’s something I just randomly discovered — In ME2, the very first time you land on Illium, if you look closely as you leave the landing area and enter the main city space, you can see Liara in the window of her office, watching anxiously for Shepard’s arrival. After that, the window is empty.
That guy’s video moves around a lot and doesn’t give you a clear view of Liara’s office window, but if you pause carefully through the 4:13 mark, you can see her.
Or, you can see here, where I went back to an earlier save and used photo mode to get a clearer, crisper look at Liara gazing down, and Shepard looking back up, meeting her beloved’s eyes…
I will give IGN credit, they did not rush together a review of the entire Legendary update, but are taking time to play each game and review them individually. They just reviewed ME2 and gave it a 9/10.
They called it the best of the series and I would agree.
I have a lot of love for the climactic missions of ME3, though. The Krogan ending, Quarian ending, and the Main-Quest Ending were all really excellent to me.
The Asari mission of ME3 was just kind of there for me. Not bad, just kind of had to include them but hadn’t built up to the final mission over multiple games, so it just occurred and we left.
Sometimes I think there must be something wrong with me: ME2 is not my favourite Mass Effect, Fallout: New Vegas is not my favourite (modern) Fallout, and Empire Strikes Back is not my favourite Star Wars film.
I agree that the suicide mission was sheer genius, though.
OK, what are your favorites of those three series? I would say:
- New Vegas
- Return of the Jedi
- Mass Effect 2
