I’m afraid My 15th level Demonologist in Age of Conan is going to have to take a break from his adventuring career.
Man, I’ve been looking forward to this game for months now, and it’s finally here. I was very dissapointed when Bio announced it as an XBOX exclusive but I knew in my heart of hearts that sooner or later it would come to the PC.
And it’s not just a half-assed port either. We get free downloadable content, nicer and smoother graphics experience, and a rebuilt GUI designed specifically for mouse and keyboard. Sweet stuff.
Anyone else picking it up?
P.S: I’m seeing a lot fo mac users on the forum baords dual booting XP and playing the game with no problems in case some of you guys own macs.
Very much looking forward to playing this. Going to pick it up tomorrow, but probably won’t be able to seriously play 'till next week… the girlfriend is in town for the weekend and does NOT understand my need for a sci-fi RPG-shooter hybrid!
I’m about an hour into the game so far and I’m loving it. It’s got a gears of war meets Knights of the Old Republic thing going that has me completely hooked.
The action/third person shooter parts are fun, challenging and can be very tactical, depending on how you play. Personally I like going slow, moving my squad from cover to cover, flanking enemies whenever possible.
The story aspect is great with some great voice acting, and an itneresting, developing plot even only an hour in.
I love the codex! It has information on everything in the galaxy I encounter and it’s all voice over too.
I’m going to have to put it on my list of games to buy.
And I read the beginning of your OP quickly, and at first I thought you had said your character on Age of Conan was a 15th level dermatologist, which would have made for a really different game.
