Repeated for emphasis. Yeah, my first impressions weren’t positive, because it catered to -my- preconceptions of entitled white failure who shoots people because of Trump-induced hate. But it’s the same sort of blind hate that has cops kill POC, white sellers refuse to sell to African-American home buyers, and Asian-American women killed by sexually frustrated failures.
We can be better. And since the suspect was captured alive (another thing I’d like to bitch about when cops have a shoot first, second, and last when they just ‘think’ someone has a gun when it’s a POC) we will have plenty of time to find out or confirm the truth.

That was my impression too. But nelliebly implied that the unemployed father Bobby Jr. was also a rapper.

Video from the incident is fucking terrifying–25 second video, 30 rounds in about 14 seconds, a pause for about five seconds then another 30 rounds. Now we need someone telling us how it’s VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR PERSONAL FREEDUMBS to have high capacity magazines available at all times. FFS.
Checking the article, I think they simply mistakenly referred to Bob III as Bob Jr. As a “the third” myself, I’ve had my share of people noting that my father’s name was the same as mine and assuming I was “junior”.
Yes, that’s what happened. I did see the “III” after “Crimo,” but a post I’d just seen on social media referred to the shooter as “Jr.,” and I I missed the error. Sorry for the confusion.

Seriously? As soon as I saw this post I was disturbed enough to reply, but having the sense to scroll through the rest of the thread before posting, I see that several people have stepped up to object already.
Allow me to add my voice to theirs. Just because someone is not conventionally attractive (and if they are a young man, someone who we might conjecture isn’t having high levels of success with the ladies) doesn’t make them a bad person.

Highland Park, Illinois is only a short drive to Lake County, Indiana where the gun laws are much less strict and there are multiple gun stores as well as stores selling guns so it’s entirely possible he obtained the weapon in Indiana. No way to know at this point, but any gun in the greater Chicago area could have come from Indiana, and a lot of them do.
This is reminding me a lot of the 2017 Mandalay Bay shooting in Las Vegas. - shooter from a high vantage point firing into a crowd below.

I’ve already seen people calling him Antifa even though there’s pictures of him at Trump Rallies.
Ten bucks says they use the fact that he was wearing women’s clothing to call him a cross dresser, drag queen, transsexual, gay or something else on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. From there it’ll almost prove their point that the real danger to the country is drag queens and strippers.
As utterly stupid as this whole anti-drag show angle they’ve been going for lately is, this will absolutely cement the connection that a man wearing women’s clothing is evil.
He must have been reading the right wing lies that the Uvalde shooter liked to wear women’s clothes.
