I never suggested that most mass shooters were veterans - not sure how you reached that conclusion. The point is that there are probably hundreds of thousands of veterans who have returned home from the prolonged unimaginable stress of life or death combat, and I seriously doubt all of them have been provided the resources they need. It’s not surprising that this happens; it’s perhaps surprising that more returning vets haven’t snapped.

So, is there any word yet on this guy’s motives? Was he screaming things during the attack? Leave a manifesto behind? Have some unconventional ideas that he shared with family and friends? Prior background with this nightclub?
I quickly googled “oakland shooting” because I had forgotten this was the Thousand Oaks shooting, and I got news about ANOTHER mass shooting, just this weekend, in Oakland. It wasn’t in the news because only 5 men were wounded.
Only in Amerika.
By the way, we in the Netherlands have the same problem, but with industrialised cattle farming. Zoonosis diseases keep spreading ( Q-fever killed 70 Dutch people) and almost every week another stable burns down, with the animals inside mostly dying a gruesome death. Yet no-one wants to give up cheap meat so nothing happens.
( while a raise of only 50 % of the price of meat would make it sustainable…)
