Or - almost infinitely more plausible - it was a typo.
Cisco, joke
Joke, Cisco
Is having no sense of humor also indigenous?
Jeesh.
 Making blurry comments that might be sincere but might be jokes and then coming back and retro-cementing them to whatever meaning is more convenient has become so common around here that I almost wrote a disclaimer in my post saying I knew you were going to come back and do that.
From the site in the OP:
They’re not from Texas
So there!
Lubbock TX news said ‘hundreds of yards long’ and a ‘few hundred feet from’ US HWY 287.
I heard tell some whacko had shaved a whole family of gophers so he could stuff 'em into this crack.
Quaint and folksy doens’t apply to Georgia or Florida? Qnad F can apply to anywhere.
Cisco --you are taking this all a bit too seriously. I did indeed mean it as a joke, a snide joke, but so many of the good ones are. Should I post a warning for your benefit in future posts? See, there was another one, right there.
I gots a million of 'em, I tells ya…(see, more quaint and folksy talk)
Lighten up! It’s a silly story about a strange happening.
When I was in Texas, the ladies did indeed have very nice cracks. And they let me know it. To my pleasure!
It started as a small geological anomaly, then, it grew into THE CRACK THAT ATE TEXAS!!!
::insert dramatic dread-inducing music::
What will it eat next ?
Ah! It’s plumber crack jokes.
I thought it was a Bad Spelling Contes.
I wonder if this crack has anything to do with the minor earthquakes that recently hit the Midwest.
I’ve long suspected that Texas was on crack.
Cool, a new place to drink beer.
Let’s light it on fire and jump across… then we’ll shoot it.
Everything is bigger in Texas.
It’s not that bad. Click the first Lemming as a builder, then set up blockers for the rest of them until the bridge is built across the crack. Then blow up the near side blocker.
Anyone wish to make a convoluted joke about Texas now rivalling Dublin for entertainment for the Irish?
(Crack; craic? Oh forget it…)
Wouldn’t it then be considered a sink hole?
Sinkole are round, crack are linear.
