Yes. I am questioning the facts of the article. The movie does not show “Santa Claus” doing any of those things. The movie shows a criminal doing those things. The criminal happens to work as a mall Santa but that’s not the same as showing the character of “Santa” doing those things. I think it’s a valid distinction and it’s a distinction that Drudge doesn’t reveal in the article.
Yeah! And Santa never got the chance to boink Angelina Jolie, either.
Yeah, Grudge is a jerk. But, to be fair, many’s the time I’ve seen him showcase news that was entirely disfavorable to his political alignment, and that should be credited. I check in on him every day, just before or after Buzzflash, whose hysterical headliness bring me to blush. Anyday now, I expect to see “Cheney stuffs kittens into blenders for Haliburton…”
Gobear, I’m glad to see you here, it offers an opportunity to show how “with it” and “up to date” I am!
These pants…do they go with these shoes? And when I get a bag of socks from K-Mart: crew or ankle length?
Matt Drudge likes to party in gay bars, has a lot of gay friends, and has an occassional date with a man…but he is not “gay”.
Thread title - “Matt Drudge: hysterical demagogue”
Oh, the irony.
He’s an imposter? Like that Indian Guy in the Village People?
Is he one of those “motor-sexuals”? (I try to stay with it. But it moves.)
H’uh. It figures, doesn’t it?
(Who was Terry Dolan, though? I remember Cohn, but not Dolan)
According to the book Santa Steps Out, he’s having an affair with the Tooth Fairy!
A very cool and twisted read.
That was one truly fucked-up novel. Here’s a really tame sample of what’s going on on there:
Ya see, the Tooth Fairy eats teeth, and shits coins.
That explains a few things, doesn’t it?
I was going to mention that book-- Darn you, DarkWriter!
Huh? Felipe Rose is openly gay. His father is a Lakota Sioux.
Uh… What box office? He guaranteed it boffo ratings when it appears later this month on Showtime. Why the whining? Disturbed that the sleazefest won’t be on CBS?
Sleazefest?
It sounded like a fairly accurate representation to me. Even the “live in sin die in sin” line, while not an exact quote wasn’t that different than something Reagan actually did say once. Edmund Morris’ biography quoted him as saying that "Maybe the Lord brought down this plague” because illicit sex is against the Ten Commandments.”
Some of his closest advisors and associates were also outspoken homophobes including his chief domestic policy advisor, Gary Bauer as well as the likes of Jerry Falwell.
The rest of the stuff that was supposedly “outrageous” was also basically true. Nancy Reagan was indeed very controlling, did hypocritically gobble pills while preaching “Just say no,” and did use an astrologer to set official schedules.
Actually, I would argue that the movie sounds rather more softball than particularly aggressive since it repotedly makes no mention of Iran-Contra or Reagan’s support of Osama bin Laden, the Afghan rebels who later became the Taliban and Saddam Hussein.
Well…from your posts, you “sound like” a liberal partisan transparent shit for brains who trolls around life looking for conservative nuggets of foolishness (of which there are many to choose from) so that you can run to this board and babble your way to another 1000 or so odd posts ABOUT THE SAME FUCKING TOPIC EVERY FUCKING TIME…Liberalism is Good, Conservatism is Bad.
Like I said before you skipping LP of liberal partisan drivel…we get it. Your point has been made…move on.
(Now…don’t you think I’m jumping to mass conclusions about your character and actions when all I have to go on is your posting behavior on this message board…just like you are jumping to conclusions about a made-for-TV movie that you and I have never seen, but have read snippets of the script from various sources?..of which one is the person you label as a hysterical demagogue…Matt Drudge?)
You creating
