May 17th Primaries - KY and OR

I think he actually might be a huge egotist, as huge an egotist as Trump, and some of us missed it or ignored it because he’s a liberal.

Trump lives in a skyscraper called “Trump Tower”, flies in a plane with “Trump” written on the side, had his doctor write a note that he’d be “the healthiest President in history” and pretends to be his own publicist on the phone so he can personally brag about having sex with supermodels. He is humble enough to rank “The Art of the Deal” second though, after the Bible.

Bernie certainly has an ego, but until “Bernie Tower” rises above the skyline of Burlington, I think he has a ways to go to catch up with Trump.

Except he’s said quite explicitly otherwise.

He’s also said quite explicitly that the superdelegates were a subversion of democracy. Know he’s counting on them to hand him the nomination.

Why should that be surprising? Every presidential campaign is and probably ought to be if they are serious willing to grasp at every legal means to victory. The Clinton campaign was dismissive of the black vote eight years ago, but now enthusiastic about them.

So why then wouldn’t he mount a third-party challenge, since it’s his only realistic option for getting elected at this stage?

A third-party challenge is not a realistic option for getting elected.
FTR: Sanders won Oregon. Clinton won Kentucky.

That’s just because he’s pandering to religion for more votes.

Bernie wasn’t handed millions by his father. One need not be egregiously ostentatious to be an egotist. Sanders simply hasn’t had the opportunity Trump has.

In sincerely hope I’m wrong. But seeing him double-down on the NV fracas, when the evidence is plainly against his supporters and rabble-rousers, and vowing to “fight to the last vote,” I’m seeing an egotist.

Because he isn’t retarded.

And obviously you were correct. Nine points is much much less than I was expecting.

This is pretty accurate, I think. Bernie Sanders has been listening to the sound of his own voice for years on left-leaning talk shows. He was mostly marginalized for years, but now he’s got a rock-and-roll buzz and he can’t get off the stage now.

Launching a third party challenge would be extremely difficult at this point. Texas’ deadline to get all the required signatures in was Monday of last week and many other state deadlines are coming up.

That’s a really expensive undertaking and he laid off hundreds of his staffers.

I’m not sure words alone could describe how stupid he would be to lay off a huge portion of his staff and then make a third party run.

… for non-traditional definitions of “realistic”, perhaps.

There is still the chance that the Green party could make Bernie their nominee. I know Bernie has said he’s not running as a third party, but Bernie has repeatedly shown himself to be a fucking liar.

Lol, thinking Bernie Sanders would run under the Green Party banner is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of his aims and goals in this election.

Bernie may have started his campaign to 'bring attention to his issues." However, he’s become intoxicated with the fame and attention. His recent actions show that he’s not ready for the show to be over in June. He is becoming Nader 2.0 and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does decide to be the boil on the ass of the Democratic party.

I really hope I’m wrong but Bernie really seems to have become unhinged lately.

Hillary Clinton stayed on until June despite having had no chance of winning in 2008, yet there was no serious chance she’d mount a third-party run.

Hillary Clinton has been a registered Democrat her whole adult life and is married to a Democratic former President. Not even the most unhinged 2008 Clinton supporter considered the possibility of a 3rd party.

Bernie has never been a member of the Democratic party and constantly whines that the Democratic party is working against him. There’s quite a difference.

No, he’s just caucused with the Democratic Party the whole time he’s ever been in the Senate and voted with them the overwhelming majority of the time.
