I think my a/c broke. At least, it was making a weird noise when I came home and, despite being on and the temperature inside being higher than the thermostat trigger, the fan on the condenser unit wasn’t spinning.

So my favourite band, The Gaslight Anthem, is coming to Toronto. I e-mailed the venue to ask when tickets would go on sale. They told me May 25 (today). 10 am this morning I’m at Ticketmaster but couldn’t get any. WTF? Checked the “on sale date & time” tab - THEY FUCKING WENT ON SALE MAY 24 - yesterday - and now they’re all fucking sold out. Called the other places in Toronto that sell them (would have made a road trip tomorrow) and they’re sold out too.
OH BUT…LOOK…the fucking “RESELLER” sites have them for like $100 US - 4x the face value of $23 CDN.
FUCKING SCUMBAGS. How are those “reseller” (read SCALPER) sites even allowed to exist? Self-serving pricks depriving actual FANS of seeing their favourite bands for the actual price of a ticket. May they all burn fiery deaths in the depths of fiery hell.

Why is it so hard to get my hands on decent cassette tapes? I only want a couple because my car plays them but anything good I can only get through Ebay or Amazon, and I can’t record them because my stereo doesn’t have a tape deck. Thrift stores haven’t turned up much but i’ll keep looking.
