Who are “they”? Republicans, conservatives, Christians?
By whom? Who exactly is “the left?” NGOs? The “mainstream media”? Democratic politicians? The Illuminati?

Yeah, Christians. I forgot to omit the part about Rebublicans from Veb’s post which I was answering.
By liberals, mainly those around here.
Did you also forget to notice where tom pointed out to you that the writer of the US Weekly article is none other than McCain supporter Elisabeth Hasselbeck? Hmmm. What say you now?
I say nothing. What I’ve been talking about is the disparity between the US covers of the Obamas vs. Palin.
Riiiiiiight.
Well, can you point to where I’ve commented on anything else vis-a-vis that issue of US?
Most of the people who see those issues in magazine racks at their local pharmacy or grocery store aren’t going to read the article either, they’ll get their impressions from the cover.
And for that matter, the covers pretty much set the tone anyway for those who do read the articles.
Hey Starving Artist, were you ever going to climb down off the “the media is biased” cross long enough to respond to the study I’ve posted several times showing that the media is biased against Obama by a 2.5:1 ratio?
Starving Artist, what you have forgotten somewhere along the way is that a good-sized portion of those Christians you are talking about are liberals. You are one of those doing some of the mischaracterizing at the moment.
Republicans sometimes try to marginalize the influence of liberal Christians. They don’t seem to approve of those churches that would like to sanctify same sex marriages, for example.
I’m sure that MSM would like to focus on the issues with Sarah Palin, but access to her is non-existent. That is outrageous considering that she has been virtually unknown to most voters until about ten days ago. In eight weeks the country votes on whether of not they want her to be the Vice President. For all we know, she could be another Lucy Ricardo.
What is wrong with this picture?
For a clue, ask Sarah. She majored in journalism.
Hi, darling Zoe!
How you doin’?
(Take that, Hector the Librarian.)
Are you talking about my response to TVeblen’s post in which she she castigates Christians for playing the victim card? If so, I doubt that liberal Christians are who she was referring to.
Granted, though Republicans generally don’t revile, hate and despise them and wish them death like goes on around here in regard to traditional Christians.
I agree with you that the media should have more access to Palin (although I think she’s already shown by her accomplishments and her nomination speech at the convention that she’s not Lucy Ricardo :), but given the treatment she’s gotten already, I’m sure she needs time to be brought up to speed on how to handle the, ahem, less positive aspects of how the media treats Republican candidates, especially ones that they fear may very well get elected.
I’m sure that in the next few weeks we’ll begin to see more both from and about
Sarah Palin.
P.S. - Email me please, re that painting you like.

P.S. - Looks like she must be a quick study. Her handlers are rolling her out already. This from Drudge:
“ABC News will have plenty of time to question her and examine her and spend time with her,” a campaign official said. “They’ll do multiple interviews over two days. No topics are off-limits – there are no ground rules. There’s tons of time to talk to her about every topic.”
The rest of the article the quote comes from can be found here.
