McCain not as forked as the McCain Forked thread, but still forked

In her case, Palin’s promise to release her medical records was simply a lie.

And this from a candidate who demanded that her mayoral opponent provide a marriage certificate to prove he was actually married back in Wasilla.

Are local offices (mayor, city council, sheriff, etc.) still held by nominal Democrats there?

The election is over. Obama Halloween masks outselling McCain 54-46.

BTW, here’s my Halloween costume idea, I thought of it back in '92 but have never used it (I never go to Halloween parties). Get buttons and hats and signs and scarves for all candidates. Wear/carry them all and go as an undecided voter.

OK, I’m a dim bulb. What am I missing?

I figured McShame was against busing…

Plus Joe the Dumber stood him up…

The big text EVERYBODY? is missing the a “Y”

The first one, to be precise.

Ha! Thanks for pointing it out. I make that typo all the time.

deleted.

There’s a cute ESPN piece where one of the ESPN guys did a week of fantasy football with Obama. He appears to know his football.

POLL: OBAMA MAINTAINS WIDE LEAD

NYTimes/CBS News

Latest national poll, among likely voters:

Obama 52, McCain 41.
Dates conducted: Oct. 25-29. Error margin: 3 points.

Plus: ABC News/WashPost daily tracking poll finds Obama 52, McCain 44. More here.

Prediction: McCain people will say that Obama not getting a huge bump from the infomercial is a victory for the McCain camp.

Do we have a plan in place to help out all the out of work pollsters that will be put out of jobs on Nov. 5th?

It’s still too early to see what bump there might be from the informercial. Check back on Friday and Monday. By then, we’ll see for sure.

But I’m actually thinking the infomercial is mainly going to be successful as a massive GOTV. For people who like Obama, that special is a big “make sure you get out there and vote for this guy! Don’t forget!”

Whatever spin Team McCain wants to place the reality is that anything that further reduces the potential for McCain to control a news cycle and possibly win over some undecideds, anything that merely runs down the clock, is an Obama coup. That infomercial does more than that. Yes it will cement some marginal supporters. Yes it will help win over a few undecideds who might otherwise be won over by McCain, but even if it did none of the above - staus quo is an Obama win.

Barack “Sweet Home Al” Obama

Oh my freaking God, he cited the New York fucking Post. When come back, bring shred of credibility*.

*Directed at the campaign, not you.

Barackin’ in the Free World Obama!

Joe the Plumber is a No Show at the rally!

In Defiance, Ohio (maybe it was the name).

Joe,whereareyou?
I am embarrassed for McCain at this point. He needs to go away.

Captain Carrot, caught it.

Almost as embarrassing as his Meet the Press interview, where he had trouble naming the five former Secretaries of State who have endorsed him. He tried twice – got four of them – then dropped it, then blurted it out a minute later in the midst of another question. “George Schulz! That’s the other one!” Just like my grandpa used to do when something was on the tip of his tongue.
