McDonald's Menu

IIRC there is a halal Mcdonalds in Luton (England) and I remember seeing McCroquettes in Amsterdam.

Croquettes are a uniquely Dutch “delicacy” being made of deep fried goo.

Slight hijack_ everything in McDs is too sweet - go to Burger King

[Homer]deep fried goo …Hmmmm [/Homer]

The Big Extra can be found in Baltimore. The patty is bigger than the others found in their normal burgers. Next to the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, it’s the heartiest burger on the menu.

Yep, that’s where the delivery I referred to on page 1 was. (well, actually it was Newport News, but don’t tell anyone I lived there, OK?)

When I lived in Bloomington, IN (back in '88 or so) most of the big fast food chains delivered… It’s a big college town. Once one started to do it, they all had to.

Yet another burger-with-a-larger-patty. Like a Quarter Pounder or Big Extra, only a little bigger around than a Quarter Pounder.

The McDLT had cheese? Damn. They should’ve called it the McDLTC. (I never tried it because, well, I hate vegetables.)

OK, so this is about KFC, and not McDonalds, but Mr. Gretchen wants to know why Yanks don’t serve fries at KFC, only mashed potatoes. WHY??

And oh yeah, why can’t we get gravy on french fries at fast food places in the states? (Biscuits, however, seem to be gravy-laden. Hmmmmm)

Don’t get me started on the lack of vinegar for french fries in the U.S…

The McDonalds in Reston, VA nearest where we lived had an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on the weekends. Omelets made-to-order, pancakes, french toast sticks, english muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.

Not McDonalds, but I remember when we first moved to VA and tried to order jalepeno poppers from Domino’s pizza… we were shocked and horrified to find that was a local thing from AZ and not nationwide. :frowning:

The new poppers at BK are awesome though

Well I’m in the NW suburbs of Chicago (Buffalo Grove/Arlington Heights area) and they have the brats. They have them in Milwaukee too. The thing that bugs me around here is that there is a McD in a hugely rich town (Lake Forest) that has a CHEF THAT MAKES YOU OMLETTES! It also has a bike-thru, but none for cars. Gahhh, rich people make me sick!

Depends on , once again, where you are. Most KFC’s that I’ve been to have a variation on home fries (i.e. small wedges of potato, fried like the chicken).

KFCs in Denver had a special that I loved… a chicken fried steak dinner (mashed potatoes, gravy (NOT the brown crap) corn) for all of 2.99. One hell of a deal.

They don’t??

Wow…
Although many of my friends don’t agree with me, I think that KFC in Canada has the best fries in fast food (until a couple of years ago or so, they were the WORST!)

As for gravy… the only place with good gravy I’ve found is New York Fries

Whenever I’m in a mall that has a KFC and a NYF and get a tub of gravy from NYF and a box of fries from KFC
Yummy!

You should see the deal they have in Canada

Twoony Tuesday
(not sure of the spelling, but a Twoony is $2 coin)

You get 2 pieces of chicken and fries!

With taxes that’s something like $1.40 US
Can’t be that…

In June 1999, I was in Aberdeen, Scotland for about a week, and the McDonald’s I went to once(near the airport) had two dishes I’d never seen in the U.S.:

The Chicken Korma Naan- some kind of breaded chicken patty on naan bread with mango sauce. This was actually pretty good.

The Lamb McSpicy. This was a ground lamb patty with some kind of seasonings on a naan bread bun with a yogurt/coriander sauce. I didn’t try that one.

I also got some of the indian spice packets to take home, but after a day or two, my bag started smelling like really rank BO, and I discovered that the two little packets had imparted their scent to the entire contents of my bag, even though they were in an outside pocket.

What was truly weird I thought, was the Sweet corn pizza at Pizza Hut.

Omigod, Brad! I work in a building catty-corner from that McD’s! Well, the job is going to end on Friday, but since April, when it started, I was going there at least once a week! They do have a comprehensive menu, but the store itself isn’t huge, compared to others I’ve seen. Try the one at O’Hare if you want to see a labyrinth.

Anyone been to the McD’s near the Grand Canyon? They charge an arm and a bloody leg, but they have a flier that explains how expensive the overhead is, justifying the prices. There was an eerie quiet in the store, almost as if the environment wouldn’t tolerate the clamor usually found in McD’s.

This summer in Australia, McDonalds have released this salad in pita bread thingy (I don’t know exactly what it is - it has mayo on it, and I’m one of the five people in the world who hate mayo). I laughed so hard the first time I saw this thing advertised - who on Earth is going to eat something called the McWrap? Hahaha! You’ve just got to stand there and listen to people ordering what sounds like “McCrap”!! Quality!!
I wonder what we’ll get next summer… perhaps the McChit? Heeheehee.

Kids, the McDLT thing is really simple. Actually, it was quite popular. However, when McDonalds decided to move away from styrofoam packaging and into paper, the McDLT was no longer feasible. It was the styrofoam that kept “The hot side hot and the cool side cool.”

Does anyone remember the promotion where everyone voted for their favorite burger (it coincided with the 1984 election)? McDLT was a contender. I still have my “Vote for Big Mac” collector’s glass.
