McDonalds your milk shake machine is not broken!

The last time I bought from them I place my order, which included a chocolate shake. The guy rang up my transaction, and then went to get my order. When he went to get the shake, a woman (who seemed like a manager type) said to the guy, “NO! we don’t got no shakes now, I’m cleaning the machine!”.
(This wasn’t just before closing, this was at 5:30pm. Why is this a good time to clean the machine, and why aren’t they telling the cashiers not to sell shakes?)

The guy shoved a cup at me and said “Here, go get some soda instead”.

I don’t want to call you a liar or anything, but this is dubious :dubious: beyond dubious. As **Epimetheus ** said, maggots take around 3 days to show up. So, your story can’t be true on it’s face, as the “f*cker who had closed the night before” could not possibly have caused maggots to show up. Stench, yes- as milk gets stinky pretty damn fast. But maggots? Sorry, impossible by the parameters of your tale.

McDonalds is also known for it’s obsessive cleanliness, and daily routines- and sure I will beleive “the f*cker who had closed the night before must have been on a “punch out by X o’clock or else” trip” happening but not “three fuckers three days in a row not noticing the smell or the maggots, nor any customers” as sour milk is a very easy smell to detect.

I call Bullshit. :dubious:

This thread is giving me flashbacks to my mall McDonalds days. I was a closer and had shake and ice cream machine duty every night. My manager turned it into a race of sorts, to see how fast I could get it cleaned properly and reassembled (don’t forget to put some grease on the fargin O rings!). I was not allowed to TOUCH it until the grate went down on the storefront and we were officially closed- if someone came in at 9:59pm, they could get a shake or ice cream. (ours were separate machines) I very clearly remember our rule was that you never, ever could break the machine down early and woe to the person who tried to gain an extra 15 minutes jump start.
