Mayhaps you should focus more on writing clearly, and less on playing little “grammer” games. That way, you might not have the overwhelming majority of readers misinterpret your (claimed) intent.

I disagree. while two people certainly can and often do misinterpret words (especially in a printed medium), in this case, one person seems absolutely set against admitting that a fair interpretation of their words = an insult (intended or not). at that point, it is customary for the person issuing the offensive comments to issue an appology “Sorry, I wasn’t clear, I meant no insult”. It seems to me that Sve is resolute in his stance that he did nothing wrong at all, and all others did. t’aint the truth by a long shot.

Well, duffer, I’ll briefly play devil’s advocate here by stating the possibility that Sevastopol is dumber than a sack of hammers and actually thought his little “for or against” jab was funny.
Of course, as I consider his past history, I am forced to admit the two possibilities are not mutually exclusive.
