Me & my Tiara

I’d like a scepter.

How about an orb and a rod?

There are three of us at work who have tiaras for when we’re stressed out or particularly proud of what we’re doing.

I work in Tech Support, so no one really questions why we have them, but we do get weird looks.

Two of us got together and bought a tiara and a sceptor for our mutual friend. She’s the Queen of Everything.

I’m the Queen of Email and the other is Princess of the Pod.

We do have fun!

By the way, we purchased ours from http://www.stumpsparty.com

Guin, yep OTC sends free catalogs. It’s likely to be a slim one until you’ve ordered. However, I suspect that if you call and tell them you’re most intersted in their tiaras and so on, they’ll ship one of the bigger catalogs out.

to the males who’ve answered - I’m so happy to see you here. What was lacking in my regal experience was the lackeys. I had a total lack of lackeys! imagine! so, please feel free to submit your lackey applications, lack of experience is not a problem. we’ll train you to carry the train.
and, as an update, one of the other workers there stopped by today and asked to borrow it for a meeting tomorrow (they finally achieved ‘project zero’ status in their county - households recieving public assistance contains at least one adult working or something like that. As another unecessary aside, their last non working person was an exoffender, and they asked ‘moi’ to do an ‘assist’ - one week after I told him what to do, he was employed  )

THAT’S what I’m missing! A tiara! I don’t have a tiara!

Good heavens! No wonder I don’t get any respect around here!

Yes, I have a tiara and a sceptor. The tiara is fairly serious (but fake) costume jewelry with plenty of rhinestones set in faux white gold/platinum. The sceptor is party store junk.

The odd thing is that I don’t remember the origin of my tiara. I think it came in a cedar chest my husband inherited. It just appeared by magic in my house, and I’m beginning to realize that I’m failing to use it to its full potential. Thanks for the awakening!

What kind of tiara would be suitable for the Queen of the Hillbillies?

A gold shiny one, of course.

   With rubies and sapphires. :)

I want a tiara.
I want one that will go with my big chunky diamante necklace that used to be my Grandma’s.

Hell, I’m not a woman, but I want a tiara!

Since I have no hair, it would be a great accessory.

wring, you are so cool! I’d be your lackey but I’m afraid you’d find me lacking.
We have a tiara around here somewhere too. The Granddaughter was wearing it the other day, so I imagine it’s in with the Legos.
I do have a scepter of my own however, which my wife mistakenly refers to as my ‘big-assed hammer’. But I forgive her.

Sceptors are good, too. I may have to ask around. and, even if some lacks lackey experience, my lack of lackeys makes everyone qualified

Ooooh. I wore a tiara to my junior and senior prom. I’ll have to find that and an opportunity to wear it!

My sister has a tiara. It’s not fair, I want one!

I want a tiara. Maybe Wonder Woman’s tiara.

(warm fuzzy dream moment where I have lackeys and can beat men with my sceptre)

Mr. Rilch and I were at the Galleria today. The window display of a jewelry store caught my eye: among other things, they had a tiara! I scampered from KayBee Toys to the Disney store to Claire’s Boutique, where I finally found the tiara! It’s perfect: it has five loops topped by triangular configurations of rhinestones, and pearls in between the loops!

I was upstairs when Friend arrived. I popped on the tiara and descended the stairs grandly.

[warning, not PC]“Why do you not stand when the queen enters the room?”

“I lived in San Francisco for five years; I’ve seen enough queens.”

I wore my tiara to the Eric Idle Sings Monty Python concert awhile back. It didn’t fit my right and gave me a horrible headache, it ended up with my little cousin for her Halloween costume.

I feel a tiara hunting trip is needed.
