Pick an aquamarine tiara

Because the world needs more tiaras.

I like the Hesse aquamarine tiara. But the Russian kokoshnik is also quite pretty.

I’d have the Five Aquamarine Tiara. I like the setting and the shape of the stones.

How to act when someone gives you a tiara.

I love that website!

My vote is for the pineflower. So pretty!

Oh, I’m torn. I think the Lady Hesketh (on the left) is the most beautiful by far, but Queen Fabiola’s Spanish Wedding Gift tiara really comes close - and it’s convertible! It can be worn *nine *different ways: two different tiara styles and a necklace, in three gem colors. That would put it way over the top for me… but I really hate the crown style tiara, and I don’t care for the red gems with this metal color at all. But that’s still four variations that are just lovely.

Hmm.

Can I have them both?

The whole idea of convertible tiaras - so practical - is something I find hilarious. I like the art deco one next to the Lady Hesketh.

I don’t know about tiaras, but I once knew a woman who was attracted to men who drove Volvos. But not just any Volvo. They had to be painted aquamarine. She said…

There’s something about an aqua Volvo man.

Oh, they’re all so lovely! If I were a tiara-owning kind of girl, I would absolutely wear mine at all hours of night and day, including in the bathtub and in line at Starbucks.

I think my favorite is the Cartier Art Deco tiara from 1937, but I’m partial to the Luxembourg and the Hesse tiaras, too.

And Johnny L.A., I’m going to need you to sit down in the hall for a while and think seriously about what you’ve done here.

The Hesse is pretty, and I kind of like the Five Aquamarine as well.

I knew what TriPolar’s link was before I even clicked on it. Funny stuff!

Queen Victoria Eugenia’s, all the way. The kokoshnik is a damn close second, though.

I agree! It’s an odd duck, for sure, but lovely and interesting! (And my birthstone, so if the Princess Royal’s not going to get any mileage out of it…)

I like the Hesse the best, but really any of them would do nicely. I have a bronze colored evening gown that needs an aquamarine tiara.

Amazing how much wealth is tied up in really spiffy jewelry.

Ooh, the 4th one! Very princess-y. Plus, “kokoshnik” is a fun word.

I love the convertible Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara, but I would probably go for the Swedish Aquamarine Kokoshnik or the Russian kokoshnik (if available).

I have to go with number one. I love the baguette cut.

That tiara has some serious hair anchoring doohickeys, I must say.

I like the Five Aquamarine tiara, or Queen Fabiola’s tiara. Also the one further down, from Lady Hesketh. I wouldn’t turn down any of them, if offered, but aquamarines aren’t my favorite colored stone. I love the look of amethysts.

I also like the following tiara, the Vladimir tiara, owned by QEII. The original setting had hanging pearls, but now it’s set with emeralds.

Here’s some of the amethyst jewelry belonging to QEII

I just found this thread … what fun! And I’m not even a Royal-watcher, although my late mother and sister were … dad was an Anglophile, too … I’m looking at the JEWELS primarily … I like sparkly stuff

I’d rather have a sapphire one. My birthstone is aquamarine and I think it is too washed out, I don’t like the pale blue.

Here’s one for you! You can just ignore all of those pesky diamonds and feast your eyes on the sapphires! They are my birthstone and also my favorite!

#2. Even though I’m not a girly-girl I’d be just like Amy…OMG it’s a tiara!!! I’m a princess!!!
Almost bought one at Dollar Tree at Oscar time but that was a little too sad even for me; an old woman watching the Oscar’s alone wearing a plastic tiara.

I did drink, though, while admiring the gowns.
