meaning of my SDMB screen name

I am not into odd humor.

Campp has been my screen name since, well, they started screen names. It references my house, which is known around here as Camp P.

I don’t think anyone is going to get confused by my name because, frankly, even I don’t know what it means.

However, I am not a brand of sugar-free gum.

Hypno-Toad, that’s just freakin’ laALL GLORY TO THE HYPNO-TOAD.

I am in fact delicious.

Welcome to the board, Cyningablod

I’m not either.

I read your name too as “Cyn” like Cyndie more so. And then thought maybe “Sinning Blood”?

Thanks for the clarification though, and welcome to the boards!

I just like Video Games. I’m the one with the 3rd leg.

I’m a trained puzzle professional, or used to be, anyway. Still trained, just no longer in the biz FT.

Welcome to the Boards!

Welcome board. My username is from the Bruce Campbell character, and it’s pronounced Ah-TAH-la-kiss, not Auto-Lick-Us or Auto-Like-Ass.

Thanks for the welcomes, y’all. I hope to be around for a long time to come.

I am a blend of famous renaissance art and a contemporary pop culture reference.

My name is roman era hunnic - they used documents from Greece and Rome and letters/reports from travelers to find names as the huns were not really that much into writing at the time. Many of the names were actually titles, ‘qan/khan’ indicates a person in charge of <whatever>, in my case aruv is the sky. It is thought to refer to a shamaness, the huns revering the sky in the same manner of later period mongolians. I will jokingly call myself sky princess as a translation though it isnt actually a correct interpretation of the name =) more properly it should be sky intercessor probably =)

I get his a lot.
In Yiddish, it translates to “Oyvay! Look at the size of his Johnson! I have a daughter you simple must meet!”

But in Arabic it is more like “Allah(be praised) Look a the size of his Johnson!”

But in Cherokee it is more like " A rig that soars from sky to sky for all to see."

But in French Canadian it’s kinda like “Huge in the pants, Eh.”

But in the Bible it is written “On the 8th day, God created Rock and Roll, and on the 9th he created Super Kapowzler, and on the 10th he created Super Kapowzler’s junk and it took all day.”

Up around Maine it is more like “We’re gonna need a bigger boat, look at the size of his Johnson.”

Nearer to Wall Street it is “Unregulated size with the influence to bring down the entire world’s economy of a Johnson.”

Shit, it really all depends on the region and specific dialect involved therein.

Word.

I made an important decision when choosing my screen name since it is my given name in the real world. But, since it is such a common name, I was pretty sure that nobody would ever connect my antics online with my real last name of ‘Inexplicable’. My mother’s maiden name is ‘The’, so I was given that as my middle name.

I have a half-brother that y’all may have heard of.
He is ‘Grunthos The Flatulant’.
I think he was written about in some obscure SF novel a few years back.

Welcome to the board. This place rocks.

And here on the SDMB it now means, “He who apparently feels the need to repeatedly tell everyone that his penis is not small.”

Ah-yup. But I gotta say, that was a mighty clever series of “translations” on SK’s part. Assuming, of course, that it was original.
And shit.

¿Eres de España, Furia Roja?

He dedicado la mayor parte de mi vida académica a estudios ibéricos (e hispanoamericanos) y conozco bien ese país. Me encanta. Me mantengo en contacto con muchos amigos españoles desde hace una década a lo menos.

Por lo general no me interesa los deportes. Pero por ti proclamo:

¡Aúpa la Furia Roja!

I picked mine because I thought infiniti looked cool (it does), but hotmail wouldn’t accept it so I stuck another i on the end. It was a step up from Buddy L, which I was inspired to pick after a Ghostwriter episode…

I am delicious when toasted.

I like to spell things backwards.
