(Med.) Numbness in my foot

While I know I shouldn’t ask for a medical diagnosis here, I’m still wondering if anyone could tell me whether I should be seeing a doctor about this:

Just over the last week or so, I’ve noticed that after my legs have been crossed for awhile and I stand up I sometimes get a strange pain in my foot. It feels almost like a bone being slightly out of place, and it only lasts for 30 seconds or so. Strange, but certainly bearable.

As well, I’ve noticed that the top center, near the toes, of the same foot sometimes goes slightly numb. It’s very subtle, but it’s something like when your foot goes to sleep.

Is this indicative of something more serious? Should I be seeing my doctor about this? Or will I be alright to wait a little while and see if it goes away on its own?

Possibly a blood circulation problem. It’s not uncommon to get this effect due to the crossing of the legs cutting off circulation to some degree, as long as it’s not complete and you don’t spend hours in that position you’ll be OK.

Have you changed habits recently and you spend more time sitting?

Might be worth checking your blood pressure, if it’s low see a doctor.

IANAD. For years I have had periods of time where the tip of my big-toe is completely numb for weeks at a time. Doesn’t seem to have done me any harm. Repeat, IANAD.

If it were me, I would be seeing a doctor. Sounds like circulation to me.
