Loki on Disney+
Story/plot etc… ehh, ‘preserve the timeline’ I can take or leave. Tom Hiddleston’s performance of Loki is pretty immaculate and fun to watch, but it’s not the reason I watch. All of the alien worlds and interdimensional eye candy is OK; the other heroic/antiheroic/villainous characters are just adding to my hero-fatigue at this point, but…

But oh. My. The architecture and set dressing and scenery and props within the TVA, I could just watch a whole show about that; that 70s brown and orange aesthetic - the desks, the ceilings, the wall decor, the electromechanical widgets; the mid-to-late 20th century futurism of the whole thing is so achingly lovely to my eyes. I’m almost wishing for each episode to finish just so I can see those lovely switches and keycaps and printouts in the end titles.

I used to watch the series La Femme Nikita with my husband. It was super dumb, but I was mesmerized by Peta Wilson’s hair.

On the Disney+ Star Wars shows, they show art stills during the credits of scenes from the episode. I’ve got the books for the first three seasons.

Since I was a kid, I’ve owned the soundtrack to Superman: The Movie for the first 90 seconds of the 2nd track “The Planet Krypton.”
