Medical Problem--please look--

i must have a medical problem. i haven’t been to the doctors yet but i want to see what u guys think.

a few months ago i took a bath before going to bed, and stayed in for about 20 mins. when i came out and went into the cool air i suddenly felt extremely weak and lightheaded. i was sitting on the floor and i thought i would pass out. also, my heart was racing. i then went into my mother’s room and while i was speaking to her, i was slurring my speech and felt totally scatter-brained. i eventually got better later on but my nerves were shot and i had a splitting headache.
i took a few more baths since then but with cooler water and didn’t stay in as long. i had to know if this was a freak occurence. the results were roughly the same, but certainly less severe. usually the whole rest of the day i felt fatigued and jittery with a headache.
now, i have talked to people who say they have taken baths and they say they often stay in for over an hour in very hot water. yet, when they get out they only feel a bit lightheaded for a few minutes…does any of this make any sense to you guys? i feel i shouldn’t ignore this. let me know what u think

thx:confused:

sounds like a blood pressure problem. ??? Could be that you’re sensitive to temperature changes…but slurred speech sounds kinda weird. I’m not a doctor, but any time you have slurred speech you should ask a doctor what’s going on. You are going to ask a doctor about this…right? RIGHT?

I think you should have it checked out. See your physician, who will probably recommend studies be done by a neurologist and/or cardiologist. I get light-headed immediately after a very hot bath occasionally, but it soons goes away. Your symptoms are different and don’t sound normal. On preview, I see that jenex has already replied, with the same advice, but I don’t think you would have tachycardia and slurred speach with hypotension.

When you have the symptoms you describe, you should by all means see a doctor as soon as possible. It could be something very simple, hypoglycemia or something more exotic. But in any event, go and see a doctor so you can rest easy.
