That was a strange episode. Can someone spoil the last minute for me? The sleep timer flipped off the tv when Alison met the new girl, and by the time I got it back on, she was smiling and driving away.

About halfway through the episode I complained to my wife that I thought the writers were playing fast and loose with the time line or else they couldn’t stay with a point of view. She tried to persuade me that all of the episode was through the eyes of the young Allison. I tried to argue but couldn’t find the suitable violations.
The ending cinched it that my wife is smarter than I am about such things. Well done from a consistency angle.
