Meet my new kitty, Steve!

I’m jealous of all you with new kitties. Since I started working for a vet 2 weeks ago, we have had 4 kittens left in a box next to the vet’s car and just as we got them to a foster home, another cat adopted the vet. The new cat is really beautiful, a tortoiseshell with practically neon green eyes. She’s tiny and about a year old, healthy, happy, and super cuddly.
And I can’t take her. My boyfriend is allergic to cats and absolutely refuses to let one in the house. :frowning:
I know kitty will find a new home eventually (assuming she doesn’t become a full-time clinic kitty) but I wish I could have her.
Good thing I have my super cute dogs to snuggle with when I get home from a day of clinic kitty snuggles.

Steve Steve Steve!

Congrats on your new kitty. He - and you - are lucky.

Awww, he’s wonderful. Good on you, Mint! Much good karma shall come your way.

The SuperKitties, Turk, Maggie and Widget - every one of them once were strays themselves - all say hi!

Should have named him Garfield!

Well no, but cute cat anyway. I like tabby cats, cause I think the word “tabby” fits a cat’s description

You’re missing an ‘s’ there, I think.

Stabby!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I think I love your mom and dad.

The Other Shoe comes from a family of people like that and they passed it down to him. He flat-out refuses to pay for a cat or kitten (like, adoptions fees from the shelter) because a free cat in need of a good home always seems to show up sooner or later for him and his mother.

I have never gotten over my love for a cat named Walter. His owner is a dirtbag, but Walter’s a solid cat.

We had out of town guests last night, and they were so excited to meet Steve. I felt like a pageant Mom, brushing his fluffy soft coat and telling him, “Okay Steve. This is your time to shine. Don’t make me look stupid.”

Of course, all of his normal super cool tricks went straight out the window and he hid under the dining room table. This cat, who previously never met a lap he did not love, was suddenly shy.

He slowly realized these newcomers were not going to be satisfied without petting him senseless and he succumbed. He was purring and playing with everyone before the night was over.

Cute cat!! Steve’s a lucky cat!!
