I really like The Meg as a Saturday afternoon popcorn flick. I don’t have particularly high hopes for the sequel, but I’ll definitely give it a watch. I don’t see Ruby Rose in the credits though, I thought she was good as Jaxx the station engineer.
That has to be the best use of Barracuda in … well … ever.
Certainly a better choice than Baby Shark.

another fun, stay away from the beach movie. i do like they have the prehistoric part that was in the book.
the other movie had bits and bobs from all books, and changes in some of the characters. i’m sure this one will as well.

I know I’ll watch it. Statham carries every action movie he’s in, so I know it’ll be fun.
And he’s 55 (like Vin Diesel). I’m reminded that Danny Glover, at only 41, was “too old for this shit.” The action movie career isn’t as short as it used to be.

Statham is a weird actor for me. I don’t think he’s good and his movies are not exactly Oscar material, yet I’ve still watched a bunch of them and don’t regret the time wasted.
There are 6 books in the series. They do get a bit over the top…the movies have taken bits and bob and changed up some characters.
If I remember properly, an sdmb member has a character named after them in one of mr Alten’s non-Meg books.
So we might eventually get the Meg0verse?
