Whatever wierd plastic surgery (?) was involved to make her eyes look like permament slits didn’t do her any favours. They weren’t always like that. I’m not buying that it was simply the aging process.

I know you’re just making a joke, but we’ve had 57 women that served as First Ladies due to a variety of situations. These include nieces, sisters, daughters and several daughter-in-laws.
John Tyler had a wife, his daughter-in-law and then a second wife. Cleveland had 2 different sisters before marrying Frances (the aforementioned 21 year old) his wife and first lady. Wilson had a Wife who passed, his daughter Margaret and then his second wife Edith who illegally took control of the presidency for a few years.
