Melissa Ethridge and Bruce Springsteen: separated at birth!

I was bored, okay? Good. That’s the setup. I’m sitting here with my CDs and a pitch shifter and I was bored.

If you take Melissa Ethridge and you pitch-shift her voice down three or four semitones, she sounds like Bruce Springsteen. This works especially well on “Chrome Plated Heart.”

I tried pitch-shifting The Boss’s voice up by a similar amount but I couldn’t quite get him to sound like Melissa Ethridge.

Also, if you pitch-shift The Eagles “Tequila Sunrise” up by about 4 semitones, Glenn Frey sounds a lot like Reba McIntyre.

I hope that was mundane and pointless enough. :slight_smile:

I hadn’t heard that but it doesn’t surprise me. The musical influences seem pretty clear. (Music is my thing, doncha know.)

As for getting out of the house, I definitely did not want to see anything that had to do with the Superbowl yesterday. Anything with so much hype behind it probably isn’t good for me. I’m on a low-hype diet. :slight_smile:

You know what else is funny? If you run a record of David Seville at a higher speed, he sounds just like the Chipmunks!
