I am putting together a memorial slideshow of pictures of my father with friends and family for his memorial service this weekend, he passed away a few days ago. I am splitting the slideshow up into themes (his wedding day, vacation, kids/grandkids/family, random pictures of himself)
I am having trouble finding a good song to play for the kids/grandkids/friends portion of the slideshow, can you all make any suggestions?
Something upbeat, but deep/meaningful is what I am looking for (if that makes any sense) but am open to any suggestions. Thanks!!!
“Little Things” - sung by Tony Bennett on Sesame Street
Available on Amazon http://smile.amazon.com/Little-Things-Feat-Tony-Bennett/dp/B0041XVIQW/ and iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/little-things/id391026885?i=391026936
“In My Life” by the Beatles is always a good song for memorials too.
I wouldn’t say it’s upbeat, but “Remember When” by Alan Jackson is a good one for kids/grandkids. “Remember when, the sound of little feet was music we danced to week to week…”
“You’re a Friend of Mine” Clarence Clemons and Jackson Browne is a fun one.
There’s two incredibly moving songs that I have used before for Memorials, the first one might fit for the kids and friends section. But you could also use them elsewhere…
