Men and Women: Let's talk shaving.

For what I do shave (which isn’t a lot) I go with shaving soap and a cut-throat. I use the same thing on various body parts when needed.

Same here. I use clippers on the beard but I don’t think a razor has touched my body since some time in the 80s.

Come to think of it, no, I have not seen them together. OMG! Hari Seldon is Ulysses S. Grant!!! It’s so obvious now.

I shave pretty much every day. Sometimes I’ll skip a day on weekends.

I use plain old Barbasol shave cream (I like the stuff in the yellow can, but the green or red cans are okay too), which I get at the supermarket for about a buck and half a can. Razor blades from Place. I used to use Gillette Mach 3 blades, but I got sick of paying the ridiculous price they charged. The Pace blades are pretty much as good.

I shave in the shower. I’ve got a mirror on the wall and it works better with the steam and hot water. Keeps the sink cleaner, too.

I’m terribly lazy, and use a beard-trimmer. That way, I’m always walking around with one-day stubble.

Hey, it worked for Crockett and Tubbs…

Can of Barbisol, mach 3 powered shaver. I shave twice in the morning. I can run these blades out a month and still not get shaving nicks but I prefer 1-2 weeks of use.

No option provided for “Nothing”, which is what I use 90% of the time.

(the 10% would be shaving cream)

Like a real man, I drive the whiskers in using a hammer and bite them off inside. I use the trimmings to grit the sidewalk in winter.

Electric razors give me a fierce rash though. I has a very sensitive skin.

I shave after a shower when my face is already wet. I just use liquid soap to lube up.

I shave with a Schicks disposable razor. It’s one of the few products in which I have a serious brand preference. I’ve tried other brands at times and I’ve found they don’t work as well.

I didn’t know you were a logger.

Razors from The Dollar Shave Club and whatever can of shaving cream my wife buys with a coupon.

However after reading this thread, I’m going to try some of the other soap options as I occasionally get razor burn.

ETA: oh, and I shave in the shower. It’s way faster, easier clean up, and I get a LOT better shaves.

Well I’m not just a common bum.

Dry electric razor. I hate wasting time, and I can read e-mail while shaving with an electric.

Sure, a razor gives a slightly closer shave, but after a few hours the stubble is grown out enough that it doesn’t matter.
