For me, the question isn’t “how much?” It’s “how many?”
I was once described as the hairiest man in Singapore, so I guess it’s pretty thick.
I voted as a 5 for the purposes of the thread, as that is my natural state. However, I do shave my body hair, and wax my arm hair. I’m thinking of getting laser to remove it all permanently. Not that I hate body hair on other guys (I think it can be quite sexy on muscular men especially), but for me personally I don’t like it.
So maybe I should have voted other. But if I let it grow out I’m at level 5 easily I think. By the time I’m 40 or 50 (I’m 27 now) I’ll probably be in Robin Williams territory or as bad as it can be. When I let it grow out my chest and abdomen is pretty much covered in hair. I also have a fair amount of hair on my shoulders and upper back (until I remove it).
Pretty much none. My Dad had similarly sparse growth, as did my Grandad on my Mum’s side, so I have hairless genes.
Pretty much no body hair and not much of a beard.
I’ve got a wispy diamond in the middle of my chest, with a few wisps around the nips, and a thin trail down the belly and up to my collar bone.
Very little. A sparse patch between my pecs, and that’s about it. My dad is in sweater territory on the front, and some large unsightly patches on his shoulders and back. His arms are covered. He’s been pretty thin on his head and has been doing a combover for about 40 years now. Fortunately, I didn’t get that gene- full head of hair, but sparse everywhere else.
I’m 52 and I don’t have any ‘chest hair’ (nor any hair on my back) that is visible, without magnification, and never have.
The hair on my thighs is extremely fine and short, what little of it there is, and very sparse hair that is visible, (unless you get really close) on the calves of my legs.
All of the women I’ve known in my life, love it. (I’ve even been accused of shaving my legs. I think they were just jealous.)
I wasn’t able to grow a mustache until I reached 35, and even now, it’s pretty thin. I have a small patch on the ‘corners’ of my chin, and that’s the extent of my facial hair.
My father and brother had very little body and facial hair, also.
The poll is flawed, OP. I think men who shave or wax might check box 1, but they should have a speparate answer.
In high school I was concerned that I didn’t have much hair on my chest. It gradually developed in my early 20’s. Got thicker but not too bad in my 30s. In my late 30s it started to spread to my abdomen and shoulders, and small patches on my lower back. Now my shoulders are downright hairy and I’m starting to get concerned about my back - my wife has offered to wax it and I might take her up on it if we take that beach vacation we’ve been talking about.
