Men: How quickly do you fall asleep after sex?

After? Maybe that’s why she gets mad at me.

This.

It depends. If we’re in bed, at night, I’m out within 15 seconds. If we’re in the dungeon, there’s the task of releasing my partner. That pretty much keeps me awake.

At this stage of my life, I fall asleep before sex.

You didn’t ask how long I stay asleep.

I will fall asleep after sex any time 24/7 within five minutes. It’s as if jizz were made of Benadryl.

At 9 pm on a weeknight? In about five minutes.
At 12 noon on a Saturday? Several hours.

Maybe I’m a weirdo, but unless it’s really late, I feel energized after sex, like “woohoo, I just had sex!”. This may lead to round 2…

Surely that’s up to the wife? If she’s not complaining, there’s no need to find other people to service.

Narrowly avoided a soda spit-take for this line!

To the OP: I’ve got to go with the “it varies” crowd. But even middle-of-the-afternoon sex can produce a really nice nap, so my answer is “it varies a lot.”

After sleep it usually takes 14-18 hours until I’m ready for sleep again.

ETA: I can’t believe I’m poster #30 & the first to point this out.

What can I say? I’ve got sleep on the brain. Sleep.

I usually feel very awake after sex. I’m quite often hungry and have taken more than one lady out for post-nookie eats.

Over here, men often have to get up and drive home to their wife after sex.

We stopped reading after “sex.”

Usually within half an hour. Like Dio, I’ve fallen asleep during sex before, once.

Only sex I’ve had is solo, but, unless it is close to bed time, or I just need a nap, it’s enough to make me tired, but not fall asleep. And, since doing it with someone else would require more physical exertion, I can imaging it not helping me sleep at all.

(Didn’t answer the poll since I am a voluntary virgin.)

I’m curious if there are any insomniacs (real insomniacs, please) who have found that sex helps them sleep.

Doesn’t make a damn bit of difference to me; I fall asleep generally in about 45 minutes to an hour, same afterwards regardless.

Other: I don’t. Unless it’s near bedtime, I don’t usually feel the need for a nap after an amorous encounter.

You rang?

I have recurring bouts of insomnia; there are some weeks that 2-3 nights a week I’ll still be awake at 3 a.m., and get up for work at around 6. If my wife gets up to pee in the middle of the night and hears me watching TV downstairs, she’ll often come down and tell me to come upstairs so she can… help me get to sleep. It usually works, but sometimes it doesn’t. When it does work, I’m out within minutes of disengaging. When it doesn’t work, I lay there another 20 minutes or so, then go back downstairs and read or watch TV.
