Merging Speed...

You have no reason to be going 55 mph when merging onto the freeway. You have a quarter-mile to get up to speed, and if my '93 Corsica can do it, I am sure that your Lincoln Towncar can do it. But no, I’m stuck behind your slow ass, trying to merge into traffic going 15 mph under the posted speed with Semis… SEMIS… passing me. Now I can’t speed up, because you are only going 62 mph, which means that I can’t get up to merging speed to get in the left lane to go around your slow ass. So, I have to go slow until there is a break in the traffic in which I can get over and then speed up. Which rarely happens at 5 O’Clock. So, I’m stuck going slow behind an you, you retarded fuck, for about 10 minutes. As I finally get a chance to pass you, I lookk over and see you doing what? Talking on a cellphone!

Please understand that a cell phone is the only means by which one of their brain cells can converse with another. The only synapsing going on in their car is by fingers in sync with the radio.

I drive on the interstate every day when I work. I can’t believe how many people will be on the entrance ramp and actually stop when it comes time to merge.

Now this leaves those of us behing him who are trying to pick up enough speed to merge having to slow to a near stop to keep from hitting his foolish ass while he screws up enough courage to enter traffic.

Let’s not even get started on the people who drive exactly the speed limit and not a bit faster while in the far left lane. Or the ones in the far left lane who match speeds with the guy in the middle lane effectively creating a rolling roadblock. Grrrrr.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought of a slave ship from ancient Roman time like a trireme. There are three banks of oars, with 2 or 3 people on each oar, and a guy in the back beating the drum to coordinate the oarsmen.

“slow speed” Thump . . . . Thump . . . . Thump . . . . Thump . . .

“ramming speed” Thump-Thump-Thump-Thump

“merging speed” ???

um, I’m getting a strong sense of deja vu here.
