I have received several emails lately asking where I have been. I guess the easiest way to do this is to just send a message to everyone and spare you guys the time of writing emails.

I have been diagnosed with bladder cancer which has spread widely. I decided to “let nature take its course” and so I have been slightly incapacitated lately. I will reply to any comments in this thread as much as I am able. Don’t feel slighted if you do not receive a response.

Thanks to all who emailed me asking what the problem was and best wished to everybody.

When you say you’re “letting nature take its course,” do you mean you aren’t being treated?

I’m not going to tell you what to do do. It’s your choice. I’m just curious.

I’m so sorry to hear that, David. I know that we are ideological opposites and have tangled from time to time, but I’ve always had the utmost respect for you and your intelligence and the life that you’ve lead. Few people have been so blessed.

So sorry to hear of your illness, David. I know you have had a good, long interesting life, now 80 some years. Best thoughts in getting through the crisis of body now. Know that you have friends here if you need sympathetic ears and hearts.
