I’ve reread the thread, and I have little idea what he’s doing that’s getting people all pissy. The charge of sanctimony is, I think, silly, but I suppose you can always decide that’s what’s behind a display of compassion. But he certainly has not been sitting here condemning people, especially not people (like you) whose views aren’t that different from his own.

Left Hand can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe he was just pointing out that there’s a place where we can discuss this without the insults (that being the GQ thread), since Metacom is not interested in participating in this pit thread. I sorta think Metacom’s getting what’s coming to him, but that’s beside the point if you’re interested in actually discussing the issue in question.
You can debate him rationally in GQ and still burning his dog in this thread. My impression was that Lefty was recommending the former, not condemning the latter.

Yeah, I can see how that would have been confusing to you, what with the way he kept refering directly to Scumpup by name. It’s easy to see how that would have thrown you.
