Metal covers of Beatles tunes

Simple enough question: Are there any Beatles songs which have been covered/remade by metal bands? They don’t have to be good, just around.

At work the other day “Come Together” was on the radio and one of the guys said something about how awesome it would be if Pantera covered it…“ONEANONEANONEIS…THREEE!!!”

And, for the record, Aerosmith’s cover of that song doesn’t count.

Motley Crue covered ‘Helter Skelter.’ I believe it can be found online.

Beatallica is not quite Beatles covers - their songs are weird hybrids of Metallica and the Beatles, played in Metallica’s style, but with the melodies straight from the Beatles.

I like them.

Soundgarden also covered “Come Together”. I don’t know if it was ever released on any record, but I’ve heard it and it’s good.

Day Tripper was covered by Type O Negative on their World Coming Down album.

Godhead did Eleanor Rigby

I’ll second Beatallica. Good stuff. How can you not like a song titled “Everyone has a ticket to ride except for me and my lightning”? And who can forget the beautiful sentiment “Death to those who will not let it be!”?

I am not sure if they are “metal” but there is a band from Slovenia named “Laibach”. They are sort of similar to Ministry (heavy metalish industrial-techno).

They covered Let It Be…not just the song, but the entire album!

That one is so good.

Hmmm, neutron star took my only suggestion.

But I’ll just say thanks to everyone, cos’ I’m gonna go get copies of the rest of these…

Thrice has done an Eleanor Rigby cover.

Gray Matter plays a rockin’ cover of I am the Walrus, if I do say so myself.

Spineshank does a great heavy cover of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”

I don’t know if it counts as metal, but I like Guns 'N Roses’ cover of Live and Let Die better than the original. Okay that was Wings, but slightly related, right?
