Has anyone heard this…thing…yet? The song the rapper and Metallica performed together I believe was just debuted on a local radio station, entitled “We Did It Again.” I’m afraid to say that this is worse than “Whiskey in the Jar” (no offense to those who enjoy the song, just MHO).
Rap and rock are very wonderful as separate genres, but I’m not aware of any attempt to mix the two that I would even consider good.
And I particularly dislike Ja Rule, although I can’t give a good reason. This had better not show up on their next album.
So…you don’t adore “Still not a player” by Incubus and Big Pun? I wish that Incubus would put it on one of their cds.
Then there’s “The Snoop bounce” which is one of the only songs Rage Against The Machine is involved in that I can stand, I guess that I used to like Snoop Dogg back in the day helps.
Not all of it’s terrible, but it helps if you’re a fan of one band or the other.
Never heard the first one, but I have a particular hatred for Incubus, so I’m biased. As for the second…who knows? I like Rage’s early stuff. When did they do it?
Well, it would seem that -----lica have thought of yet a new way to destroy the integrity of anything good they might have accomplished in the past.
Not to hijack, but why, exactly, is Ja Rule (and Missy Elliott, on the distaff side) in apparently every goddamn remix that anyone’s ever done in the last two years?
Just curious…
